What Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu says about easing the state Covid-19 lockdown and face masks directives imposed.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu the elected Governor of Lagos State has on Sunday, 17th-may-2020 commended the state residents for the encouraging levels of compliance among open Markets and Non Food Markets.
The Governor also revealed in his speech during a media briefing that, the Lagos State Government was reviewing the Phased Lockdown Relaxation for other businesses to start operating.
Sanwo-Olu at the media briefing on Sunday, expressed dissatisfaction over the state residents non-compliance with the use of Facemasks and the breaching of Health directives by operators of commercial buses “yellow buses”.
Adding that the terms of the covid-19 lockdown easing will be thoroughly reviewed if the state residents continue to breach the directives imposed before considering easing the lockdown.
The state, he said still has the highest numbers of Covid-19 ever confirmed in the country compared to other affected states, the confirmed cases in Lagos is currently at 2,373 and only a total number of 623 Covid-19 patients have since been discharged and fully recovered.
