NPF Says Essential Workers Are Exempted From Movement Restriction

Nigeria Police Force NPF says all essential workers are exempted from the new order on movement restriction, this was made known by the Nigeria Police authorities in a tweet on Tuesday, 19th-May-2020.

According to the report, the Nigeria Police Force NPF has withdrawn the new order on movement restriction of essential workers during the covid-19 inter-state lockdown.

The Police authorities in a tweet via they official social media handle stated that all essential workers are now allow to go about their essential duties even from 8pm to 6am which is the curfew time.

The withdrawal of the new order on movement restriction was because some Essential Workers, including Firefighters, Journalists and Medical workers, were being harassed several times by police officers for moving at the time of the curfew.

The tweet reads below;

All Essential Workers which includes Medical Personnel, Firefighters, Ambulance Services, Journalists, etc are exempted from the restriction of movement associated with both the partial lockdown and the national curfew across the Federation.

In another News, Informationnaija reported that, President Buhari won’t be address the Nation on the gradual easing of the covid-19 inter-state lockdown, instead Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the federal government, announced the extension on Monday.
