Following the recent reports on coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on Wednesday, 20th-May-2020 Nigeria Confirms 284 New Covid-19 Cases.
Recording the new 284 cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria brings the total number of confirmed cases to 6677, and 1840 have been discharged and fully recovered, 200 death recorded since the outbreak in the country.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported the 284 new discovered cases on their official website and social media handles. The new cases were discovered in twelve states and the Federal Capital Territory.

- 8 in FCT
- 8 in Borno
- 7 in Plateau
- 6 in Jigawa
- 5 in Kano
- 2 in Abia
- 1 in Ekiti
- 1 in Delta
- 1 in Kwara
- 1 in Taraba.
Disclosing this in a tweet via they official website https://ncdc.gov.ng, they wrote;
284 new cases of #COVID19; 199 in Lagos, 26 in Rivers, 19 in Oyo, 8 in FCT, 8 in Borno, 7 in Plateau, 6 in Jigawa, 5 in Kano, 2 in Abia, 1 in Ekiti, 1 in Delta, 1 in Kwara and 1 in Taraba.

Meanwhile, Informationnaija reported that, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC as at Tuesday, 19th-May-2020 discovered 226 new cases from different states in the country.
While as on Monday, 18th-May-2020 NCDC reported 216 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria
