President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mohammedu Buhari will be addressing the Nation on COVID-19 lockdown Today, 27th-April-2020 as today marks the end of 4 weeks lockdown in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun state.
This would be the president’s third time of going live to address the Nation regarding coronavirus pandemic lockdown since the outbreak in Nigeria.
This was confirmed and made know in a Statement in Abuja by Femi Adesina the Special Adviser to the President, Muhammadu Buhari on Media Publicity, on Monday 27th-April.
The President’s statement will be respectfully broadcast live on the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio station services on Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
The president will be expected to speak on the current lockdown he had earlier imposed on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lagos and Ogun states as some state governors have called for an interstate restriction of movements to contain the virus.
Mohammedu Buhari will address the Nation regarding the covid-19 lockdown which was imposed on Lagos, Abuja and Ogun state to help reduced the spread of the virus. So state Governors have called for an inter-state lockdown to tackle the coronavirus.
As today complete it 4 weeks of movement restriction and the lockdown is expected to expired today, first it was supposed to be just for two (2) weeks but was extended for extra 2 weeks because more Covid-19 Cases were recorded, so today we wait to hear from the President Muhammadu Buhari as he will be addressing us on the covid-19 lockdown, if it will be extend or not.
